I’m Luke, a wedding photographer based in the UK, photographing weddings in a natural way.
I’ve been doing this for over ten years now and have photographed over 300 weddings across the UK and abroad, and in that time I’ve learned that the best photographs don’t come from forcing moments, they come from giving people the space to be themselves. My approach is simple. Observe, anticipate, and step in only when it genuinely helps.
I’m drawn to weddings that feel honest and unpolished in the best possible way. Days where the focus is on people, not performance. Whether that’s a small, intimate celebration or a full-on party, my aim is always the same, to tell the story of your day as it actually felt, not just how it looked.
Couples often say they felt at ease having me around, and that matters to me. You don’t need to know how to pose, you don’t need to “perform” for the camera, and you definitely don’t need to worry about what you should be doing. My job is to take care of the photography so you can get on with enjoying your day.
What it’s like working with me
From the first conversation through to delivering your gallery, I keep things straightforward and relaxed.
Before the wedding, I’ll take the time to understand what matters most to you, not just timings and logistics, but how you want your day to feel. I’m always happy to offer guidance if you want it, but never in a way that feels prescriptive or overwhelming.
On the day itself, I work unobtrusively. Most of the time you won’t notice me there, but I’ll be close enough to anticipate moments as they unfold. I’m calm under pressure, good at reading a room, and experienced enough to adapt when things don’t run exactly to plan.
When it comes to portraits, I keep things simple and natural. No stiff posing, no forced smiles, just gentle direction when needed and plenty of space for you to be yourselves. Even couples who say they’re “not comfortable in front of the camera” usually find this part far easier than they expected.
