City Winter Wedding
Saskia and Mark met in December 2018 at a small piano bar called ‘Player’s Bar’ above Charing Cross Theatre – it’s a love/hate place, but they both love it, and so when they bumped into each other there they were immediately in their element. It was a typical drunken evening, they were both there with their friends, and they just started chatting amid the crowd of people singing along to the piano. It was just before Christmas, and they were both travelling over the festive period, but once they were back in London in the New Year, they picked up where they left off and have been together ever since! Luckily they tracked down the piano player playing that night, and he came to play at their wedding! They wanted to recreate the magic of that night and the many fun times they had there since.
Relaxed Winter Wedding Vibes
They chose have a city winter wedding at St Saviours Church in Wendell Park, West London, followed by a reception at the Princess Victoria pub on Uxbridge Road. The pub is local, and they had always loved the atmosphere there; when they got engaged, Saskia and Mark both knew they wanted a relaxed, informal day, so it seemed like a natural choice. The ceremony was in the local church, and they always knew they wanted a small church ceremony when getting married.
