It’s unusual for me to visit a venue in advance, even if I haven’t photographed there before. While a recce can spark ideas, those ideas are often specific to the season, weather, and light on that particular day, which can be entirely different on your wedding.
For every wedding, I carry out thorough research beforehand. Combined with your insight into the day, that’s all I need to arrive prepared and ready to create something considered and natural.
17.
What If You’re I’ll?
If I were unable to attend your wedding due to illness and couldn’t find anyone to cover the wedding for me, I would refund all payments made, excluding any pre-wedding shoots already completed.
Before it ever came to that, I would contact my emergency cover network to source a suitable replacement photographer who could cover the wedding on my behalf if that was something you would be ok with.
Throughout the process, I’d keep everything transparent and stay in close communication with you both.
