Soon after booking this destination wedding, I searched Zakynthos Wedding Photographer to see what came up in Google. I couldn’t find a whole lot of wedding photographs shot at this beautiful Greek island. No one I knew had ever worked there before. It was at this point I knew this would be a unique wedding.
Bella and Ben celebrated their wedding over three days, and every day indeed was a party and celebration. Good food and drink were never too far away. The wedding was held at The Peligoni Club where the couple first met 11 years ago while working over the summer, making perfect sense to have the wedding there. It was essential to Bella and Ben that everyone got to enjoy their time on the island, so making it into a three-day party was a great way to go about this.
The first evening involved traditional Greek dancing and plate smashing during a welcome drinks party. I have never seen so many broken plates scattered in one place. Day 2 started with a Ben and his friends taking a trip on Odyssey, a vintage 55ft yacht. After spending the morning out at sea, it was time to get back for the wedding where everyone gathered to witness a blessing ceremony overlooking the Ionian Sea. Canapés and drinks were handed out after the ceremony, and then everyone moved into an open marquee where food was served, followed by speeches and dancing. The last day was more relaxed as there were many hangovers as you can imagine. A pool party at clubs Villa Figari. More live music and lots of chilling in the sun. The three days went so quickly.
This was a wedding I’ll never forget. Thank you so much to Bella and Ben for everything. Here are some of my favourite images from the three days.
